
Abia MoBSE Releases 2025 Teachers Recruitment Second Batch Shortlist

- Status: Second batch shortlist released on Friday 6th February, 2026.
- Evaluation Method: Automated screening based on advertised qualifications criteria.

- Next Stage: Preparation for Computer-Based Test (CBT) is on progress.
- Applicants must be below 45 years of age during the time of application.
2. Application Completion Status:
- Any application that was incomplete at the close of the grace period provided for updates was treated as invalid and excluded from the shortlist due to lack of usable data.
3. Academic Qualifications:
The following academic criteria were applied during screening:
- Having NCE qualification qualifies an applicant for shortlisting.
- Third Class or Pass degrees categories are not acceptable.
- Applicants who applied with a Bachelor’s degree but without an NYSC certificate, or those currently serving as corps members, were disqualified.
- Lack of a teaching qualification is not a reason for disqualification, as long as the core academic requirements are met.

Next Steps: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
MoBSE has confirmed that shortlisted candidates should immediately commence preparation for the Computer-Based Test (CBT). The test is expected to take place as soon as possible as the ministry intends to conclude the recruitment process within short periods.
