The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has announced that its recruitment Computer-Based Test (CBT) will take place on Friday, 23rd January, 2026, marking a key stage in the institution’s ongoing employment exercise. This development follows the shortlisting of qualified applicants who successfully completed the online recruitment application process.
According to the official notification, shortlisted candidates have begun receiving email invitations containing full details of the CBT. Applicants are therefore advised to check their email inboxes regularly, including spam or junk folders, to ensure they do not miss this important update.
The CBT is scheduled to commence at 10:00am and will be held at the Digital Resource Centre, FUTA, Akure. Candidates are required to arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time to allow for verification and other pre-test formalities. Late arrival may result in disqualification from the exercise.
Shortlisted applicants are also reminded to come along with a valid means of identification as well as a printed copy of their acknowledgement slip, as these documents will be required for access into the examination venue. Failure to present the required documents may prevent candidates from participating in the test.
The recruitment CBT forms part of FUTA’s transparent and merit-based selection process aimed at employing competent professionals who will contribute meaningfully to the university’s academic and administrative development. The exercise is being coordinated by the Directorate of Establishment and Human Resource, under the supervision of the university’s management.
