The Climate-Smart Farming & Rural Resilience Development Foundation (CSFRRDF) has announced the opening of recruitment for a wide range of field and program roles in Benue State, Nigeria.
This opportunity is targeted at professionals, recent graduates, undergraduates, and volunteers who are passionate about climate action, agriculture, youth development, and community-driven impact.
CSFRRDF is a mission-driven, Africa-focused nonprofit organisation committed to regenerating rural futures through climate-smart innovation. The current recruitment is part of the Foundation’s preparation for Community Needs Assessment (CNA) and field pre-deployment activities in Benue State, a region widely recognised as Nigeria’s food basket but increasingly affected by climate change, food insecurity, and rural vulnerability.
Nature of Engagement
All advertised roles are currently volunteer-based, with remuneration expected to commence upon the receipt of project funding. According to the Foundation, the engagement is designed to attract individuals who are motivated by impact, learning, and long-term growth. Participants will gain hands-on experience in field operations, programme coordination, data collection, and community engagement, with strong prospects for role expansion as funding is secured.
While the roles are volunteer-based at this stage, CSFRRDF emphasises that the initiative is structured, professional, and aligned with donor-funded project standards.
Available Positions
CSFRRDF is recruiting for both program-level and field-based roles. The open positions include:
1. Program Implementation Lead
2. Finance & Administration Officer
3. Youth Innovation & Training Coordinator.
4. Community Engagement & Local Liaison Coordinator.
5. Communications, Compliance & Partnerships Officer.
6. Monitoring, Evaluation, Data & WASH Integration Officer.
7. Agriculture & Food Security Technical Advisor.
In addition to these strategic roles, the Foundation is also seeking candidates for field-based positions located strictly within Benue State. These include:

The field-based roles are particularly critical to the success of the Community Needs Assessment, as they involve direct engagement with rural communities, data gathering, and on-ground implementation support.
Eligibility and Qualifications
The recruitment is open to a broad range of applicants, including undergraduates, recent graduates, and experienced professionals. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required for most roles, while possession of a master’s degree will be considered an added advantage.
Depending on the position, candidates are expected to have between one and ten years of relevant experience. Prior experience in rural fieldwork, agriculture, climate-related initiatives, or donor-funded and humanitarian projects will be an added advantage. CSFRRDF also encourages applications from individuals with backgrounds in agriculture, climate resilience, food security, youth development, monitoring and evaluation, and WASH-related programming.
