
The Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti (FETHI), Ekiti State, has officially announced the commencement of applications for its 2026 Internship Programme. This opportunity is targeted at suitably qualified graduates in various health disciplines who wish to undergo compulsory housemanship and gain valuable professional exposure in a reputable tertiary medical institution.
The programme offers structured clinical training, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and real-time experience in patient management within a standard healthcare environment. The internship opportunity is available across key healthcare fields essential to the Nigerian medical system.
Interested applicants can apply in any of the following departments: Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, and Radiology. Each department provides practical training that helps young professionals develop the competence, confidence, and ethical discipline required for successful healthcare practice.
For the Intern Medical Laboratory Scientist position, applicants must possess a recognized degree in Medical Laboratory Science and must be duly registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN). A valid practicing license is also compulsory.
Applicants seeking placement as Intern Nurses must hold a degree in Nursing Sciences and must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, alongside possession of a valid practicing license.
For Intern Pharmacists, applicants are required to have a degree in Pharmacy and must be duly registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria. They must also possess a valid professional license before applying.
Graduates applying for the Intern Physiotherapist position must have a degree in Physiotherapy and must be registered with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria, with an active practicing license.
Those interested in the Intern Radiographer position must hold a degree in Radiography and be registered with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria, in addition to presenting a valid practicing license.
