TVET Shortlisted Candidates 2026: Link to Check Shortlist Status

The Federal Ministry of Education has released the second batch list of 2026 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) shortlisted candidates. Applicants who previously had “Pending” status on their dashboard profiles have started receiving email approval notifications and are instructed to select their training centers to begin their training.

This article will guide applicants who applied for the TVET program on how to check their shortlist status, select their training centers and Print/download their ID Card in preparation for their onboarding into the programme.

Review of the TVET Programme 2026

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Programme is a federal government initiative through the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) created to equip Nigerian youths  with practical and industry skills to help them to gain opportunities in industries also become self employed.

The program aims to:

  • Provide job-ready technical skills to Nigerian youths.

TVET Shortlisted Candidates 2026 Approval Notifications Ongoing

Successful applicants are currently receiving the shortlist email from the organisers of the Program (Federal Ministry of Education). The sample of the message read as follows;

“Congratulations! You have been successfully shortlisted for the Federal Ministry of Education’s TVET Programme.”

Applicants which are having pending status on their dashboard are advised to check their email inbox, spam folder and also login their TVET dashboards to check their status.

Approvals are being released in batches,  so candidates with pending status should remain calm and continue checking their dashboards.

What Next After Being Shortlisted for TVET 2026

If you are part of those shortlisted, you must complete the next steps to confirm your admission in the program.

Follow the following steps to select your training center.

Step 1: Log in to your Dashboard by visit the TVET portal at https://www.tvet.education.gov.ng/login and log in using:

  • Your phone number used during the registration starting with +234 and password.
  • Once logged in, confirm your shortlist status on your profile.

Step 2: Select Your Training Centre
After logging in:

  • Click on “Select Training Centre”, check the list of available training centres, choose the centre closest to your residents for promiximty.

Step 3: Confirm Your Training Centre Selection.

  • After choosing your preferred centre, click  on “Confirm Selection” and wait for confirmation. Your dashboard will be updated successfully once completed.

Downloading and Printing Your TVET ID Card

Shortlisted candidates must download their TVET ID card by following these simple steps:

  • Log in to your dashboard using your phone number and password.
  • Go to the Resources section o
  • Download/print the ID card
  • Take your ID card and a passport photograph to your training center for physical verification.

Report to Your Training Centre for Physical Verification

All shortlisted candidates must report to their assigned training centre for verification and capturing.

During reporting, candidates will complete:

  • Physical verification
  • Documentation
  • Registration/onboarding

Failure to report may lead to candidates:

  • Disqualification
  • Cancellation of placement in the program.
  • Replacement by another qualified applicant.

Accept or Reject Your TVET Training Placement

Shortlisted applicants can either accept or reject their training centre placement.
If you accept:

  • Upload your photograph for verification.
  • Complete your registration
  • Accepting confirms your participation in the programme.

How to Check TVET Shortlist Status

You can follow these steps to check your shortlist status:

Step 1: Visit the TVET Portal and login to your profile.

Step 2: Enter Your Login Details using phone number and  password.

Step 3: Click Login

After logging in, you can check your shortlist status, elect your training centre and download your ID card.

What to do If Your TVET Status Is Still Pending

If your dashboard still shows “Pending,” calm down as the selection process is still ongoing.

You are advised to:

  • Check your email regularly
  • Log in to your dashboard frequently.
  • Wait for further updates

How to Reset TVET Login Password

After visiting the login page, do the following steps:

Step 1: Click Forgot Password

  • Select the Forgot Password option.

Step 2: Enter your Email Address

Step 3: Check your email inbox and follow the instructions sent to you.

Step 4: Create a new Password, saved and log in.

Important Instructions for TVET Shortlisted Candidates

All shortlisted candidates must:

  • Select their training centre
  • Download/print their ID card
  • Upload their passport photograph
  • Report to their training centre

Failure to complete these steps may lead to disqualification.
