Update on KADSSEB Serial Number for 2025 Teachers Promotion Exams
The Kaduna State Senior Secondary School Board (KADSSEB) has issued a crucial update to all teachers eligible for the 2025 Promotion Examination, addressing concerns surrounding access to the promotion portal and clarifying procedures for obtaining the required Serial Number.
The clarification comes in response to challenges experienced by some teachers who reported difficulties accessing the online portal due to confusion about the KADSSEB Serial Number, also referred to as the Registration Number. According to the Board, no teacher was previously issued a KADSSEB Serial Number before the promotion portal was officially opened. This announcement aims to dispel misconceptions and ensure that all eligible candidates understand the correct process for accessing the system.
KADSSEB explained that the Serial Number required for login is not issued separately or distributed through any external means. Instead, eligible teachers are to log into their respective dashboards using their TSB (Teachers Service Board) Number or PSN (Personal Staff Number). Once logged in, they can view the list of qualified candidates and copy their assigned KADSSEB Serial Number directly from the system. This step is essential for successful access to the promotion examination portal.
The Board acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the initial misunderstanding and reassured teachers that corrective measures have been implemented to ensure smooth and seamless access to the portal. By providing this clarification, KADSSEB seeks to eliminate confusion and prevent further delays in the registration process.
Teachers eligible for the 2025 Promotion Examination are required to visit the official portal at www.kadssebpromotion2025.gov.ng to complete their registration. Upon gaining access, candidates must carefully update their personal information to ensure accuracy and completeness of their records. Additionally, teachers are required to select their preferred examination venue within the zone of their choice. This step is mandatory and forms a critical part of the registration process.
KADSSEB emphasized that updating personal details and selecting an examination venue are compulsory requirements for participation in the promotion exercise. Teachers are therefore advised to take the process seriously and double-check all information entered on the portal before submission. Accurate information will help the Board coordinate examination logistics effectively and avoid administrative complications.
The Board has also set a strict deadline for the completion of the registration and update process. All eligible teachers must finalize their portal registration within ten (10) days, beginning from 29th January and ending on 9th February, 2026. KADSSEB warned that failure to complete the required steps within the stipulated timeframe may affect a teacher’s eligibility to participate in the promotion examination.
This timeline underscores the importance of prompt action. Teachers are encouraged not to wait until the final days to begin the process, as last-minute rushes may lead to technical difficulties or errors that could hinder successful registration. Early completion will allow sufficient time to resolve any unforeseen issues.
The 2025 Teachers Promotion Examination is scheduled to take place from 11th to 13th February 2026. The examination represents a significant opportunity for qualified teachers across Kaduna State to advance in their careers and receive well-deserved professional recognition. KADSSEB reiterated its commitment to conducting a transparent, fair, and efficient promotion exercise for all eligible candidates.
