The Sokoto State Government has officially announced the release of the first batch of successful applicants under its ongoing 2025 mass recruitment exercise. This development was disclosed by the State Recruitment Committee constituted by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, PhD, FCNA, as part of efforts to strengthen public service delivery and reduce unemployment across the state.
According to the announcement, 1,000 applicants have been selected in the first batch after successfully meeting all the prescribed recruitment requirements.
The selection process followed a transparent and merit-based assessment in line with the state government’s commitment to fairness and accountability.
Successful candidates are hereby advised to log in to the official Sokoto State recruitment portal through which they initially submitted their applications in order to print their notification (selection) slips. The portal can be accessed via:
https://employment.sokotostate.gov.ng
The printed selection slip serves as official evidence of notification and confirms the candidate’s invitation for the next stage of the recruitment process, which includes the collection of appointment letters.
Candidates are required to present the printed slip at the Office of the State Head of Service, Usman Faruku Secretariat, alongside the following documents:
- Original academic and professional credentials.
- The generated selection slip from the recruitment portal.
The State Recruitment Committee emphasized that only candidates whose names appear on the portal and who possess the required documentation will be attended to. Applicants are therefore advised to ensure that all documents presented are authentic and complete to avoid disqualification.
The committee also urged members of the public, especially applicants who were not included in the first batch, to remain patient, as additional batches of successful candidates may be released in due course.
The announcement was officially signed by Barrister Gandi Umar Muhammad, mni, Secretary of the State Recruitment Committee. He reaffirmed the Sokoto State Government’s dedication to transparent recruitment processes and encouraged beneficiaries to comply strictly with the outlined instructions.
This recruitment exercise represents a significant step in the state government’s broader agenda to enhance employment opportunities and improve governance through qualified manpower recruitment.
