For this project, Ipsos Nigeria is seeking energetic, professional, and integrity-driven individuals to work in Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom (Uyo), and Cross River (Calabar). The engagement focuses on field-based data gathering and supervision, with successful applicants contributing directly to the accuracy and credibility of the census and market research outcomes.
Available Positions
The recruitment exercise covers two key roles: Field Supervisors/Interviewers and Data Collectors/Enumerators. Both positions are project-based and require candidates who are detail-oriented, ethical, and capable of engaging respondents professionally.
1. Field Supervisors/Interviewers:
Field Supervisors are entrusted with overseeing the collection of accurate and high-quality information across assigned locations. The role involves conducting interviews through face-to-face interactions, telephone conversations, or online platforms, depending on project requirements. Supervisors also play a leadership role by ensuring that field activities align with Ipsos’ strict quality control standards.
Key responsibilities include administering structured questionnaires objectively, recording responses clearly using digital devices or approved paper formats, and ensuring that all interactions comply with confidentiality and ethical guidelines. Supervisors are also expected to meet daily and weekly targets set by the Regional Manager while maintaining professionalism during all respondent engagements.
Qualifications & Requirements
To qualify, applicants must possess a minimum of an OND, HND, or NCE, while a Bachelor’s degree is considered an added advantage. Strong communication ability in English and at least one local language is essential. Candidates should also demonstrate leadership capacity and the ability to coordinate workflows effectively in a field environment.
2. Data Collectors/Enumerators
Data Collectors, also referred to as Enumerators, will focus on physical mapping and information gathering from outlets and respondents through direct interviews. This role is central to the success of the census, as it ensures that data captured across various communities accurately reflects real conditions on the ground.
Enumerators are responsible for identifying outlets, explaining the purpose of the research clearly, and collecting information using mobile data collection tools. Maintaining data integrity, following project protocols, and covering assigned areas diligently are core expectations for this position.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Applicants for this role must hold at least an SSCE or any relevant qualification. Proficiency in English, Pidgin, and/or Igbo is required, alongside a high level of computer literacy to support digital data entry. Familiarity with the local terrain in the South-South and South-East regions is considered a strong advantage, as it supports efficient navigation and community engagement.
Work Structure and Locations
While the roles are field-focused, the listings are categorized under remote job opportunities due to their project-based and flexible nature. Selected candidates will operate within their preferred or assigned states, including Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River.
