The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially dismissed as fake the viral circular currently circulating across social media platforms regarding the alleged commencement of screening exercise for its 2025 recruitment exercise.
In a public disclaimer released on the Board’s verified Twitter and Facebook pages, CDCFIB clarified that the purported notice titled “IMPORTANT UPDATE ON CDCFIB RECRUITMENT EXERCISE” with release date 29th December, 2025 did not originate from the Board and should be completely disregarded by applicants and the general public.
The fake circular falsely claimed that physical screening and document verification for shortlisted candidates would soon commence, advising applicants to visit a recruitment portal between January 7th and January 9th, 2026, to select preferred venues and dates. It further stated that the screening exercise would reportedly hold between January 12th and 16th, 2026, across all states and the FCT.
However, the Board emphasized that no such directive has been issued and warned applicants against engaging with any unofficial message, email, or website purportedly linked to CDCFIB recruitment activities.
The statement urged the public to rely solely on the Board’s official communication channels for authentic updates, reiterating that credible announcements will only be made through its legitimate platforms.
Applicants and members of the public are further advised to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to misinformation or fraudulent schemes associated with the recruitment process.
